Arc'teryx Dually Parka

With fall just around the corner and the winter season fast approaching I’m sure, if you’re like me, your thoughts will be turning to new product. I’m stoked about the Arc’teryx Dually parka for this winter. The first thing you notice about the Dually is its weight. Coming in at 667g the Dually is incredibly light. As with all Arc’teryx product the design and build quality is fantastic and once you have the jacket on you realize that real care and attention has been put into the fit, and the details on the jacket look great. The features I really like about this jacket are the two way zipper which is really handy and the smooth knit gusseted sleeves which fit nice and snug, I also really like the fact the hood is helmet compatible. The technology in this jacket in frankly space age, for such a light weight jacket it has an incredible amount of warmth. The shell has been DWR treated so it’s pretty water resistant and the shell will not hold moisture. Even if it does get dropped in a plunge pool, the revolutionary insulation is incredibly hydro phobic – water will not cling and simply sheds away from the fiber making it amazingly fast drying. The Dually comes with its own stuff sack so it can be packed down quite small for travelling.

If you’re looking for a stylish lightweight jacket with an abundance of technical features then check out the Arc’teryx Dually Parka! Be sure to try this piece on before you buy though – it is sized larger than you might expect as it was designed as a final outer layer and will leave you plenty of room underneath for your softshell or covert. If you would like to see the jacket, give me a call at the ASA office and come and check it out. Alternatively go to the Arc’teryx website to check out the full range of products and see what’s new for fall ’08 http://www.arcteryx.com/
